Onika Tanya Maraj (Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, December 8, 1982), better known as Nicki Minaj, is an American rapper, singer, actress and Grammy-nominated songwriter Trinidadian six ocasiones.5
In mid-2009, Minaj signed a contract with the label Young Money Entertainment with distribution from Universal Motown and began appearing in singles by other artists as Mariah Carey, David Guetta, Will.i.am, Ludacris, Usher, Sean Garrett and Christina Aguilera among others, before launching their single "Massive Attack", "Your Love," "Check It Out", "Right Thru Me," "Moment 4 Life", "Super Bass" and "Fly" detached from their album Pink Friday debut released in November 2010.
The album debuted in the US at number 2 on the Billboard 200, this marked the second female hip hop artist of higher sales in a week, behind Lauryn Hill album, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill in 1998.6 The album debuted at the first places in Canada, UK and Ireland, mainly.
